Almond Cow Increased Purchases by 66% Quarter-Over-Quarter While Maintaining Profitable ROAS
Almond Cow had a product consumers loved and an opportunity to scale ecommerce growth through paid media. Bluum developed a full-funnel strategy across Facebook and Google designed to reach new audiences, convert high-intent shoppers, and create a more scalable acquisition engine.
In Q2, paid media increased purchase volume by 66% quarter-over-quarter while maintaining a profitable 3.48x ROAS. By June, Google reached a 7.42x ROAS, while Facebook was generating more than four times the monthly purchases it had at the beginning of the quarter.

The Challenge
Almond Cow had built an innovative product around making plant-based milk at home, but scaling ecommerce acquisition required reaching beyond consumers already familiar with the brand.
The challenge was increasing purchase volume without sacrificing the efficiency that made paid advertising profitable. Rather than simply putting more budget behind existing campaigns, Bluum needed to expand the top of the funnel, identify new high-performing audiences and creative, and build a channel mix capable of supporting continued growth.
The Pain Points
Almond Cow had proven demand and strong ecommerce potential, but scaling efficiently required a more sophisticated approach to audience development, campaign structure, and channel diversification.
Scaling Without Sacrificing Profitability
Increasing investment and purchase volume can quickly come at the expense of efficiency. Almond Cow needed a strategy that could significantly grow customer acquisition while continuing to generate profitable returns.
Expanding Beyond Existing Demand
Continued growth required introducing Almond Cow to new potential customers rather than relying exclusively on people already familiar with the brand or actively searching for the product.
Building a True Full-Funnel Strategy
Different audiences required different approaches. Bluum needed to develop strategies for prospecting, consideration, and high-intent retargeting rather than treating every potential customer the same.
Finding New Opportunities Across Channels
Facebook and Google each played different roles in the customer journey. Scaling the account meant understanding where each channel performed best and expanding into new campaign types when the data supported it.

The Results
Bluum's Q2 strategy successfully expanded Almond Cow's acquisition efforts while maintaining profitable returns. By combining stronger audience segmentation, creative testing, and channel expansion, purchase volume continued to grow throughout the quarter while efficiency strengthened.
66% Increase in Quarterly Purchases
Purchase volume increased approximately 66% from Q1 to Q2 while the account maintained a profitable 3.48x overall ROAS.
4x Growth in Monthly Facebook Purchases
Facebook purchase volume more than quadrupled from April to June. At the same time, Facebook ROAS improved by more than 60%, increasing from 1.82x to 2.94x.
7.42x Google ROAS in June
Following the introduction of new Google Shopping campaigns, Google purchase volume increased approximately 58% month-over-month while ROAS climbed from 4.81x to 7.42x.
13.99x ROAS From Google Search
Search remained an exceptionally efficient source of high-intent demand, delivering a 13.99x ROAS during the quarter while Shopping created an additional opportunity to scale purchase volume.
The Strategy
Bluum expanded Almond Cow's top-of-funnel efforts on Facebook, allocating more resources toward prospecting while refining placements based on performance. Rather than assuming narrower targeting would produce the strongest results, ongoing testing identified broad targeting as a major opportunity.
Audience testing showed that broad prospecting could be extremely effective. A broad audience of women ages 18 to 54 became the strongest top-of-funnel performer, achieving an 11.90x ROAS.
Bluum structured Facebook campaigns around each stage of the funnel so targeting and messaging could reflect a user's relationship with Almond Cow. A 1% lookalike audience layered with plant-milk interests achieved a 14.73x ROAS in the middle of the funnel, while recent cart abandoners continued to be the strongest bottom-of-funnel audience quarter-over-quarter.
Creative was tested alongside audience strategy, using different formats and messaging throughout the customer journey. Story ads introduced new audiences to the simplicity of making plant-based milk at home, boosted social content supported consideration, and product-focused carousel ads helped convert higher-intent shoppers.
Bluum expanded beyond the existing Search strategy by introducing Google Shopping campaigns in June. Following the launch, Google purchase volume increased approximately 58% month-over-month while ROAS improved approximately 54%, reaching 7.42x.
Bluum continually tested Google ad messaging to understand which value propositions resonated most strongly with consumers. Top-performing messaging focused on Almond Cow's simplicity, plant-based positioning, and ease of use, with the strongest headlines achieving click-through rates above 10%,

“Almond Cow was a great example of why scaling isn't just about spending more. We were able to expand the top of the funnel, identify audiences and creative that could bring new customers into the brand, and then capture that demand efficiently across Facebook and Google.”
